I will dominate 'serious boxer' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer will face the American YouTuber in an eight round contest which will be shown live on the streaming platform.

Briton Joshua stated he will "dominate completely" the American and "break" his opponent as the combatants confronted each other to promote the upcoming boxing match.

Ex twice world heavyweight champion Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, theoretically, a mammoth disparity - at Miami's arena on December 19th.

Fighter's Attitude

"I plan to injure his face and break his body up. I'm here to prove I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35 years old, stated.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I will really want to hurt him. That's my goal."

Respectful Exchange

In spite of those words, a calm Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - typically famous for his dramatics - shared friendly words and kept it respectful with each other.

Jake Paul rather targeted former Joshua rival Francis Ngannou and described him as "a joke" after Ngannou rejected a fight offer.

Taking Aim at Tyson Fury

Joshua, at the same time, criticized UK opponent Tyson Fury - and declined a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a victory for Paul.

"[Paul] is better than Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer stated.

"I give him credit for that."

Legitimate Opponent

In spite of saying he intends to hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua declined to comment unfavorably about his rival's fighting skills.

"Jake is a serious fighter," he stated.

Paul's History

Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has primarily fought mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since becoming pro.

He was defeated by Briton Fury in last year.

Commercial Success

However, the inexperienced fighter is still one of the sport's largest financial successes, consistently making substantial paydays.

Forecast and Confidence

The 28 year old predicted a knockout win in rounds four or five and stated he would prevent the much-anticipated Joshua–Fury fight, which is allegedly being planned for two years from now.

"It will be my match with Fury in the coming year," Paul stated.

Physical Disparity

As Joshua and Paul participated in the traditional confrontation, with their size difference clearly visible, it emphasized just how unlikely this complete situation is - and how astonishing it is that the match is really proceeding.
